health, safety & environment
A companies worth is only as good as the people it employs and works alongside. The safety of both the company's staff and the hosting community residents in operational areas is paramount.
United Geophysical's comprehensive CASHES (Community Affairs, Security, Health, Environment and Safety) management system is constantly developed, enhanced and updated.
Local community leaders are regularly kept up to dated and informed with developments and resources of health & safety.
CASHES training of new employees is conducted by the company's Health, Safety & Environment Department. Each new employee must pass an extensive medical as well as a test for swimming ability.
Additionally, new employees receive training in all safety aspects of their work and workplace. Evasive action, protection and safety guidelines around identified hazards education are continual.
United Geophysical is proud of its Health, Safety & Environment record. Our operations regularly achieve two million man hours without a lost time incident.
Each crew has extensive first aid and medical facilities and contingency plans for medical evacuations.
Fortunately due to the company's assertive and proactive safety programme, these contingency plans are
seldom required during many years of operations. However we are ever prepared.
